The A team strengthened their second place in Division 2 with a narrow win over Portsmouth B.

Electing to bat first, Lee Harrop & Greg Kitchin 53 from the first 5 overs, and had both retired by the 7th. Despite losing a couple of cheap wickets the runs continued to come as Jack Richards rediscovered his touch with 33*. Greg (26) & Lee (28) both fell in the last over, and the innings finished on 132-5.

Portsmouth started slowly but built up speed to reach 58-0 at the halfway mark, and were 99-0 with 2 overs remaining. Jacob Harris (1-26) got the vital breakthrough, and the last five wickets were all down to run-outs as they were bowled out for 127 off the last ball.

Our club needs Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Helpers!!

We are in need of more qualified coaches, coaching assistants and helpers to assist our small team of existing coaches run our various age groups of Colts next season.
It's essential that we keep the Colts running not only to provide our players for the future but also to ensure we remain Clubmark accredited, which is a prerequisite of the club being part of the Southern League.

If you're interested in being a coach, assistant coach, or if you can offer any help at all with the running of our colts, please let me know asap!
It doesn't matter if you can't commit every week to help running the colts, we'll organise things so you can help when it's best for you. Not only do we need additional coaches and assistants but we need parents to help in any way they can, particularly on match days with organising refreshments, collecting match fees, scoring, putting out chairs etc etc.
